Trying to "SQUEEZE" More O.J. Into My Day!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Florida Orange Juice. All opinions are 100% mine.

Florida Orange JuicePersonally I don't know many people that have to be ENCOURAGED to drink Orange Juice (no one in OUR family at least!) But I admit, I am guilty of reaching for soda more than I should, especially when things get busy and hectic around here!

So these little tidbits from Florida Orange Juice were a nice little reminder for me to reach more often for that jug of O.J. instead of that can of Diet Coke. :-)

Did you know potassium and folate and vitamin C are three nutrients that we regularly don't consume enough of in the U.S.? (Shame on us!)

One 8‐ounce serving of 100% OJ is a good source of all three!

How about this....did you know one 8-ounce glass of 100% OJ provides HALF of the USDA-recommended daily fruit intake for most adults??? And here I am always feeling SO guilty about not getting enough fruit in my diet.  Two glasses a day and I'm good to go! :-)

Kathleen Zelman, MPH, RD, LD, is a nutritionist, dietitian, and writer who currently serves as director of nutrition for WebMD. She has a few really good tips, not only for getting more ??? OJ into our diets....but how to eat healthier in general.

To get a JUMPSTART on your morning...make sure your breakfast includes protein, fruit and nutrient-dense carbs.
  • An easy way to do this is to blend your favorite fruit (I prefer mine frozen, of course) with 100% Florida OJ and low-fat yogurt!
  • Or...I love this idea!.....jazz up your pancakes by substituting 100% Florida OJ for water in your batter! I have actually tried this with a little cinnamon and it's really delicious! Gives ordinary pancakes a little zing. :-)

Oh wow....now I'm hungry to pancakes!  Is 11:36am on a weekday morning too late to make pancakes????
